Healthcare Delivery and Screening

We offer comprehensive women's healthcare services, including diagnostic and treatment options for cancer screening, gynaecological issues, and menstrual problems. Our services cover sexual and reproductive health, including STI/HIV testing and treatment, sexual dysfunction care, and a range of scans (scrotal, abdominal, transvaginal, breast, fertility, and fetal). We also provide breast, cervical, and prostate cancer screenings, ensuring tailored and thorough care for our clients.

Advocacy Interventions on SRH

FPA is dedicated to advocating for sexual and reproductive health rights, focusing on gender, SRH, and menstrual health. We work to reduce stigma and discrimination, promote equality, and engage policymakers to improve SRH services for all communities, including sexual minorities. Additionally, we strengthen the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process in Sri Lanka, particularly concerning LGBTIQ rights, advocating for inclusive and equitable policies and practices.

Gender Justice and Menstrual Equity

We strive to combat gender-based violence by challenging societal ideas, attitudes, and beliefs that perpetuate violence against women. Additionally, FPA is dedicated to addressing period poverty and stigma in collaboration with civil society organizations. Through our efforts, we aim to create a more equitable and just society for all individuals.

Access and Distribution of Contraceptives

FPA ensures the availability of a diverse range of high-quality contraceptive products through its Service Delivery Points (SDPs) and island-wide dealer network, including pharmacies, medical clinics, hospitals, and groceries.

Community Engagement and Norm Change

At FPA, we actively collaborate with community leaders, organizations, and youth to challenge traditional norms and attitudes surrounding sexual and reproductive health. Our focus areas include advocating for the eradication of unsafe abortion practices, promoting the liberalization of abortion laws, and combating stigma and discrimination against the LGBTIQ+ community.

STI/HIV Prevention and Treatment

In partnership with the Ministry of Health, FPA works to ensure access to essential medicines and health services for key populations. Also Our services include comprehensive testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV.

Humanitarian Support

During times of crisis and in post-crisis scenarios, FPA extends its support to promote sexual and reproductive health. We focus on building the capacity of humanitarian workers and first responders to ensure that essential services are provided to those in need.

Education and Awareness Programmes

FPA collaborates closely with the government and other stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive sexuality education and sexual and reproductive health awareness programmes. These initiatives target various demographics, including youth, the general public, workers in export processing zones, and corporations.

Counselling Care and Digital Health Interventions

At FPA, we offer a range of counseling services and psychosocial support both onsite and online. Through online platforms, individuals have access to necessary care and information regarding their sexual and reproductive health. Additionally, we provide screening, counseling, and referral services for individuals who have experienced gender-based violence, along with support for accessing legal and medical services. Our center offers comprehensive consultations on Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), and other related services.

Knowledge Hub for IPPF

IPPF is committed to supporting Member Associations to develop social enterprise activities for the purpose of generating income, diversifying funding sources and, ultimately, achieving organizational and financial sustainability.

FPA Sri Lanka serves as the Social Enterprise Hub and is in charge of the Social Enterprise Acceleration Programme (SEAP) aimed at strengthening the capacity of Member Associations to apply entrepreneurial best practices in the health sector while delivering social value and improving lives. SEAP has supported the establishment and growth of social enterprises of IPPF Member Associations.
