About Youth Services

Youth Services is a group of young people passionate about the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of young people. Elected from among the youth volunteers of FPA Sri Lanka for a two-year term, the Youth Services team currently links with groups of young people from and around the Service Delivery Points in Nuwara Eliya, Batticaloa, Ampara, Koggala, Seethawaka, Wathupitiwala, and Colombo. The key role of the Youth Services team is to provide an insight to the strategic work of the Association, bringing in a youth-based perspective and to monitor and evaluate programmes in the area of Adolescents. They also engage in voluntary activities throughout the year, to promote sexual and reproductive health of young people as a right and networks with other organisations to advocate for other issues particularly HIV, gender -based violence and for the rights of the marginalised in society. Youth Services also represent FPA Sri Lanka in regional and international forums while being a part of South Asian Regional Youth Network of IPPF.
