Consultancy | Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) Training and Youth Club Formation

Background: The Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka (FPA Sri Lanka), in partnership with RFSU, is committed to enhancing Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) among youth in Sri Lanka. The project aims to establish sustainable platforms for youth advocacy, and create awareness about CSE in communities. The consultant will undertake specific tasks to deliver impactful training programs and facilitate youth club formation.

Objectives:

  1. Develop and deliver training programs on CSE that empower youth to serve as community advocates for CSE.

  2. Facilitate the establishment of youth clubs in selected districts as platforms for continuous CSE advocacy and education.

  3. Enhance engagement with outreach centers and community stakeholders to ensure the program’s success.

Deliverables:

  1. Review national guidelines on CSE and develop a module for a five-day training program for youth.

  2. Conduct one-day refresher training program on CSE for the Managers of all FPASL’s outreach centers.

  3. Successfully execute a five-day residential training program on CSE for 25 youth in Nuwara-Eliya and Puttalam Districts.

  4. Supervise the roll-out of the training programs conducted by each youth group to other youth in Nuwara-Eliya and Puttalam Districts.

  5. Formation and operationalization of youth clubs in Nuwara-Eliya and Puttalam Districts

  6. Reports of monthly meetings held by youth clubs, highlighting progress and plans.

Duration: The consultancy will commence on the 24th of March 2025 and conclude on the 01st of September 2025.

Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated experience in conducting CSE training and youth advocacy programs.

  2. Knowledge of CSE and experience in working with community-based initiatives.

  3. Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.

  4. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and maintain a focus on project goals.

Reporting: The consultant will report to the Director of Advocacy of FPA Sri Lanka and work in collaboration with the RFSU project team.

  • A comprehensive CV.

  • Proposal with details of

    • Workshops conducted on CSE. Include the number and age of participants, topics covered on CSE, and the relevant organizations worked with on CSE.

    • Daily consultancy rate (Proof of earlier daily rate will be checked once you have been selected).

    • Timeline for the completion of the deliverables mentioned in the TOR.

    • Mention how many days will be required to complete each deliverable.

Payment

  • Payment will be based on the deliverables. Maximum amount that will be paid for the entire assignment during the contract period is Rs.960,000.00

  • Travel and accommodation costs during field visits to Nuwara-Eliya and Puttalam will be borne by FPASL.
