Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) for a Senior Management role that calls for a highly skilled medical professional with specialised expertise in SRH and Family Planning service delivery. This position also includes managing the “Centre for Family Health Clinic” and overseeing nine satellite SRH clinics.
Key Responsibilities
⦁ Administrate the Association’s diverse programmes, from clinical services to social marketing of contraceptives.
⦁ Align stakeholder interests, including members of the Association, the Ministry of Health, and IPPF.
⦁ Assist the Executive Director in collaborating closely with international donors, bi-lateral and multi-lateral partners, and civil society organisations.
⦁ Support the Executive Director in achieving the strategic objectives alongside Senior Management and staff.
Person Specification
⦁ MBBS Degree (required).
⦁ Postgraduate qualifications in Reproductive Health, Community Medicine, or Family Medicine (preferred).
⦁ Background in Gynaecology and Obstetrics or Venereology is beneficial.
⦁ Experience in Project and People Management is an advantage.
⦁ Minimum of 7-10 years as a Medical Officer, with strong administrative skills and experience in research studies preferred.
Ideal candidates should have senior-level experience in Public Health and fulfil the following criteria:
⦁ Strong prioritisation, organisation, and communication skills.
⦁ Proficiency in English (required), with knowledge of Sinhala and Tamil as an advantage.
Remuneration
You will be appointed to a suitable level of the Association’s pay scale, with total remuneration that includes a cost of living and travel allowance and a comprehensive medical scheme in addition to the base salary.
