FPA Sri Lanka is pleased to collaborate with The Ministry of Education and the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Women & Gender of the Sri Lanka Parliament to pilot test a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights education module in a few select schools in the Western Province. Based on the results of this pilot, the Government of Sri Lanka has committed to expanding the module throughout the country. The module covers key information on consent, contraceptives, HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections etc.

The pilot was initiated by the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Women & Gender of the Sri Lanka Parliament and is a result of decades of advocacy by civil society.
