As part of FPA Sri Lanka’s Alokaya Counselling Centre sessions in honour of the upcoming World Mental Health Day, a special Q&A session titled "Mental Health Matters" was held on the 8th of October, marking day two of the event series. This initiative aims to provide informative and supportive sessions for staff, focusing on mental health awareness.
The session began with an interactive activity where participants privately responded to a series of questions depicting various life situations. Based on their answers, each individual received a stress level score and was given guidance on the appropriate next steps to manage their well-being.
Following this, participants submitted anonymous questions, which were addressed by Mr. Susil Premarathne. This open dialogue created a valuable opportunity for self-reflection and provided staff with useful tools to navigate stress in their daily lives.
We believe this session will positively impact the mental health and well-being of our team, fostering a healthier, more mindful work environment.
