The CAAPP Project team hosted an exciting and educational programme on the 28th of May 2024, in honor of Menstrual Hygiene Day!
For this initiative, 13 incredible NGOs joined forces to tackle period poverty, and yesterday’s event was nothing short of inspiring. Two NGOs shared their impactful experiences in addressing period poverty and breaking down barriers to menstrual health with local villagers.
The day continued with an eye-opening Tamil drama that highlighted menstrual stigma and discrimination, followed by a captivating Sinhala drama focusing on menstrual health and hygiene. To top it all off, a fun and engaging puppet show by Power of Play addressed menstrual stigma and raised awareness in a unique but impactful way.
Together, we made strides towards a future where menstrual health is a priority for all!
