The national level progress review meeting took place at Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research Institute(HARTI) on the 14th June 2017 subsequent to holding a series of district level review meetings with non-governmental and community based organizations supported by FPA Sri Lanka in its HIV prevention efforts under the national HIV response strategy of the Government of Sri Lanka.
DIG Ajith Rohana, Dr. Janaki Vidanapathirana, Consultant Community Physician, National STD/AIDS Control Programme and Ms. Madu Dissanayake (Director Public Affairs, Policy and Advocacy) took part in a dialogue with community led organizations and community based organizations on legal barriers and law enforcement barriers impeding the HIV prevention initiatives.
Dr. Liyanage, Director of the National STD AIDS Control Programme took part in the event where he discussed about how the programme run by FPA Sri Lanka has contributed towards the success of the national programme's requirements.
