The MISP training carried out in Jaffna was the 04th local training at district level and saw the participation of 43 Government officials comprising Medical Officers,Relief Officers,DMC Coordinators,Probation Officers, Engineers etc, who are persons identified as the first responders at district level. This event was conducted by FPA Sri Lanka in partnership with the Disaster Management Center,District Secretariat of Jaffna and theDisaster Management Coordinating Unit-Jaffna District. The main facilitators were chosen from the MISP Core-trainer pool and they were Dr.HarishchandraYakandawala-Medical Director,FPA Sri Lanka, Mr.ChathuraLiyanaarachchi Assistant Director-Preparedness-DMC and Dr.Dinesh Fernando-Senior Lecturer-Department of Forensic Medicine-University of Peradeniya.
