A workshop was conducted to review the current/existing Plan of Action for 2016 prepared to implement the recommendations/priority areas of the National Policy on health of young persons in the Uva province, on the 11th of November at the Bandarawela Hotel. Simultaneously, the 2017 plan of action was also prepared with inputs from the participants. Uva Province -Health Ministry organized the workshop with the technical and financial support of FPA Sri Lanka .Mr.Anil Wijesinghe-Secretary to the Provincial Ministry of Health chaired the workshop while Dr. Harischandra Yakandawala-Medical Director-FPA Sri Lanka was the facilitator. Key officials from Provincial Ministries and Public departments & institutions attended this programme. (Such as the Ministry of Education,Department of Probation and Child Care, Regional Director of Health Services-Monaragala District etc.)
