CSE empowers young people to make informed decisions about relationships and sexuality and navigate a world where gender-based violence, gender inequality, early and unintended pregnancies, HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) still pose serious risks to their health and well-being.

A three day Training Programme on Comprehensive Sexuality Education for youth studying at the Vocational Training Center, Elpitiya was held under the purview of the Suwa Sewa Centre in Koggala with support from FPA Sri Lanka’s Outreach Unit, (GGRE Funded Project) from the 12th-14th of September 2018.

Resource Persons were Dr. B.M.T. Basnayake Medical officer Teaching Hospital Karapitiya , Dr. Sudesh Gunasekara MOH Elpitiya , Miss J.D. Bahgya Counsellor ,Mr. M.O. Jayalath and Ms. Udeshika Lumbini Manager-SDP Koggala.
The programme was organised by the Vocational Training Centre at Elpitiya in partnership with the VT Regional Office in Galle.
