Mr. Suhail Junaid-Marketing Director, Ms. Sureka Perera-Finance Director and Mr. Amila Gunasekara-Asst. Director Brands visited Gedeon Richter PLC in Budapest, Hungary from the 24^th to 26^th of March 2020 on the instruction of the Hon. President Mr. Chandima Gunawardena to get firsthand information regarding the reasons for the delay in supply of Postinor 2 in the second half of 2019. During the visit the representatives from FPASL met Ms. Gabriella Bakos - Area manager, International, Dosage Form Products and Mr. Laslo Korycki - Head of Department, International Sales WE-US Countries and had discussions to strengthen the relationship between the two organizations, to enable uninterrupted supply of Postinor One and Postinor-2 and to improve trade terms which will benefit both parties. They also had preliminary discussions to explore a few more products to be included to FPASL’s product portfolio. Ms. Thushara Agus – Executive Director joined the meeting via Skype and briefed the officials from Gedeon Richter Plc about the history of the Association, work currently being carried out and about the future plans for development.

During the visit the FPASL team were able to witness the manufacturing plant and packaging unit of Gedeon Richter Plc. They reported that Gedeon Richter Plc has now overcome the slowdown in production due to the introduction of the serialization process and are back on track with regular production. It was evident that Gedeon Richter Plc maintains very high standards in production and the company employees more than 12,000 employees including 1,000 employees only in R&D.
