SimEx 2022 is a Simulation Exercise on Sexual Reproductive health strategies in Emergencies. The 3-day training exercise is designed and facilitated by IPPF to prepare national-level responders to integrate crucial, life-saving sexual and reproductive support at the onset of an emergency. 

SimEx 2022 is the first roll-out of the Simulation Exercise in the Asia region and was conducted by the Humanitarian Hub of IPPF SARO. Several national-level stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Women, Child affairs and Women empowerment, Disaster Management Centre, National Disaster Management Centre,  National Child Protection Authority, SL Army and Women and Children's Bureau of the SL Police, as well as representatives from several CSOs were present at the event.

With the orientation of all key organizations involved in disaster response, everyone providing the same standard of service can be ensured to all populations in need. 

 The event is being held at Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo.
