A Regional Training on the IPPF Accreditation System was held from the 25th to 27th July 2016, in Bangkok, Thailand. The three-day training provided an overview of IPPF’s revised Accreditation System to Member Associations (MA) in the South Asian Region.
The training was for staff and volunteers of MAs who are closely involved in the implementation of this system. The volunteers who attended this training are to be included in review team visits to be carried out by IPPF SARO in the ensuing months. The staffs who received this training are expected to assist the Management Team of their home Member Association to facilitate the Accreditation review process and to ensure on going compliance with the standards. Objectives of this workshop were; 1. To gain an understanding of IPPF Standards and Responsibilities of Membership and the Accreditation system. 2. To explain the step by step the accreditation review process including roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder. 3. To orientate MA staff and volunteers who would be working closely to implement the system at country and regional levels.
