It was a proud and momentous occasion when on the 10^th of March, the foundation stone for the new headquarters located in Nawala, was ceremonially laid with the participation of Dr Pramilla Senanayake (President, FPA Sri Lanka),  Mrs Thushara Agus (Executive Director), Dr Esther Amarasekara( National Council- Hony. Assistant General Secretary) and Major Shirley Silva (NC member), together with the Senior Management team and members of staff.

Out of the 170 Member Associations affiliated to IPPF, FPA Sri Lanka is one of the four MA’s to have ownership of their very own headquarters which bears testament to the self-sufficiency and sustainability of this organization, which is in its 64^th year of providing Sexual and Reproductive Health information, education and services, through its 7 service points island-wide. Those services include family planning, maternal and child health, and STI and HIV treatment, prevention and care.
