Ms Madu Dissanayake ( (Director Public Affairs, Policy and Advocacy) is representing FPA Sri Lanka at the 4 day Regional Workshop in Bangkok from the 12th -15th of September titled: Changing gears- Reanimating HIV services for MSM and Transgender/Hijra Communities , organised by APCOM.
APCOM is a coalition of members – governments, UN partners, non-profits and community based organisations – from Asia and the Pacific working together to advocate on, highlight and prioritise HIV issues that affect the lives of men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender people, including rights, health and well-being.
This training workshop will improve the current HIV interventions by enhancing skills and knowledge of managers/coordinators/community members implementing services with new evidence, strategies, tools and techniques for strong HIV prevention and treatment programmes contributing to national programmes.
Other representatives from Sri Lanka are Mr. Thushara Manoj and Mr. Sumudu Chamara from Equal Ground and Mr. Sivakumaran Muttiah from the Community Role Models Hub of MSA Global Fund HIV Programme
