The forum against GBV was set up in 2005 with the aim of facilitating greater coordination, understanding, sharing of information, resources and to strengthen multi-sectoral responses to GBV. The Forum is a collective national voice comprising 30 members including the Government, UN, donor organisations, national and international NGO's and community based organisations. The members of the forum have programmess and projects running throughout the year to address GBV. The forum is chaired from the inception by the UNFPA which was instrumental in initiating the forum. This year the forum is jointly chaired by UNFPA and Oxfam.
